Aluminium Conference |OZroll Industries: Pioneering Innovations in Aluminum Roller Shutters and Blinds

The use of Capral's low-carbon aluminum, LocAl® marks a key step in OZroll's commitment to sustainability. "Aluminum is incredibly versatile and recyclable. We've recently switched to purchasing Capral's innovative LocAl®, significantly reducing our carbon emissions. This was an ideal choice for us," emphasized McDonald, highlighting the company's dedication to the environment.

Louvre Business Manager, Jack McDonald, said: "We're able to produce high-quality parts quickly. With aluminum louvres, we can create blinds in almost any color under the sun." McDonald underscored the durability of their products, stating, "Our hurricane resistance ratings are high—some of the panels we produce can withstand winds of up to 250 kilometers per hour."

According to the Aluminium Conference, OZroll Industries, headquartered in Dry Creek, South Australia, has expanded its business from the Australian domestic market to various destinations in Europe with its innovation and commitment to quality. OZroll has an office in Germany and an increasing number of customers in Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, France, and Spain, showcasing the strength of Australian manufacturing and its steadfast pursuit of excellence.

A significant portion of the aluminum profiles used by OZroll is produced at Capral's Angaston factory in South Australia, which has a firm commitment to quality. By extruding these materials near OZroll's manufacturing plant, the partnership maximally reduces transportation time and costs, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. This collaboration reflects both companies' pursuit of excellence and streamlined processes.

From the turn of the century onwards, OZroll experienced remarkable growth, doubling its workforce and expanding its business in Australia. This growth is marked by both quantity and an impeccable reputation, as the company became synonymous with quality and efficient production. OZroll boasts three state-of-the-art roll-forming machines capable of producing up to 300 roller shutters in a single shift, operating two shifts per day, demonstrating an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

At the heart of its innovation is the Ozroll Drive System (ODS), a pioneering 12-volt battery control unit that has transformed the automation landscape of the roller shutter industry. The L10 motor, a key component of this system, has been a game-changer for OZroll, facilitating the company's expansion into international markets. This success led OZroll to establish a permanent office in Frankfurt, Germany, solidifying its status as a global industry leader.
