According to the aluminium show, before the Battery Foil Project of Guixi Aluminum New Material was implemented, there was no enterprise in Guizhou Province engaged in the production of battery foil. "This is the 'crown jewel' of the aluminum foil manufacturing industry," Ding Xiang told reporters. Although battery foil is widely used in various types of batteries, playing an important role in improving battery efficiency and power density, customers have almost perfect requirements for the shape, pinholes, surface quality, thickness tolerance, etc., making the production of these products highly challenging. The thickness of finished battery foil is generally around 12 microns, which is one-fifth the diameter of a human hair; the flatness requirement of the aluminum foil is within 2 meters, with a fluctuation value of less than 5 millimeters... A series of stringent manufacturing indicators place the production of battery foil in a position of "high precision and sophistication" within the industry.

"At present, both domestic and foreign markets have broad prospects. Sixty percent of our products will be exported overseas. At the same time, based on the demand for new energy power batteries in Guizhou Province, we are intensifying negotiations with leading enterprises in the province to strive to send samples as soon as possible and promote cooperation," Ding Xiang said. Aiming for industry leadership, Guixi Aluminum New Material has achieved a transformation from selling resources to selling products, supported by the iteration from extensive production to lean manufacturing. At the project site, three automated production lines have been launched, and another two imported production lines are expected to be installed and debugged in the second half of the year. The manufacturing level of the equipment can also meet the relevant acceptance standards for downstream products. In the quality inspection process of aluminum foil production alone, the equipment can accurately identify defects with an area of 0.01 square millimeters and generate reports through the system, providing reference for quality inspectors.

Guixi Aluminum New Material is also actively constructing digital workshops and intelligent factories. In Ding Xiang's view, the higher the degree of automation of production equipment, the more support is needed from professional talents. Operators will use the equipment, maintenance personnel will repair it, and quality inspectors will inspect it, in order to maximize the efficiency of the equipment.
