Aluminium Expo | The first domestically built All-aluminum Catamaran High-speed Wind Power O&M Vessel by CCCC Hai Feng was delivered

On March 15th, Haifeng 5101, the first ship of the Haifeng 5000 series, an all-aluminum semi-submerged catamaran high-speed wind power operation and maintenance (O&M) vessel, developed and invested by CCCC Haifeng Wind Power and constructed by Aolong Boat Technology Co., Ltd., held its delivery ceremony.

Leaders from CCCC Haifeng Wind Power, CCCC Haifeng New Energy Technology, State Grid International Leasing, China Ship Scientific Research Center, Shanghai Shuangxi Maritime, China Classification Society, and Aolong Boat Technology were invited to the event and gave speeches.

According to Aluminium Expo, the "Haifeng 5101" wind power O&M vessel is the latest generation of offshore wind power O&M vessels (CTV) built by CCCC Haifeng Wind Power. The vessel is classified by CCS, designed with a full aluminum semi-submerged catamaran structure. It is 33.2 meters long, 10.8 meters wide, and 4.4 meters deep, with a trial speed of about 27 knots and a cruising range of up to 500 nautical miles. It can carry 12 passengers, has excellent speed and wave resistance, and is currently the first domestically made semi-small semi-submerged catamaran wind power O&M vessel in China. The vessel integrates the small waterplane area vessel and the conventional catamaran designs, breaking through the challenges of precision design and comprehensive performance assessment technology for semi-small waterplane area vessels, structural dynamic stress, and fatigue life prediction technology. It overcame the industry challenges of multi-parameter coupling of vessel types, forming a design with independent intellectual property rights in the true sense of a semi-small waterplane area vessel. It has excellent speed performance while its wave resistance and seaworthiness are superior to conventional catamarans. It adopts a high freeboard design concept to reduce wave impact, combined with a high-power main propulsion system configuration, ensuring the vessel's departure rate and docking performance, meeting the safety operation requirements in Grade 4 ocean condition and safe navigation requirements in sea state five. The vessel is equipped with special docking rubber fenders, and designs have been reserved for key equipment such as folding arm cranes and boarding wave compensation gangways. It also has emergency support functions for oil and water supply to offshore booster stations, suitable for deep-sea offshore wind power fast line O&M services.

After its delivery, the vessel will join the CCCC Haifeng Wind Power's offshore wind power smart O&M platform traffic fast line, serving wind power projects in areas like Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan, etc. It provides strong support with high-end professional equipment for the company's offshore wind power smart O&M, specialization, regionalization, and integrated O&M solutions, helping the country achieve its "30/60" dual carbon goals.
